We are expanding our Purchasing Team in Italy and are looking for a Purchasing Specialist to join our 3-person team managing component procurement. This is a key role that sits at the intersection of purchasing and logistics — ideal for a proactive and experienced professional who thrives in fast-paced environments.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Purchasing Specialist, your main responsibilities will include:
- Procuring mechanical and electronic components according to production needs and forecasts.
- Sending and managing purchase orders while maintaining accurate records.
- Following up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and mitigate any supply chain risks.
- Negotiating pricing, delivery terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure the best value.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with planning, logistics, and production to ensure material availability.
- Supporting inventory optimization by aligning purchasing with operational demand.
- Identifying and resolving delivery issues before they impact production.
- Utilizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) to manage purchasing workflows (experience is a plus).

Requirements:
- Proven experience (3+ years) in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Strong negotiation skills and a solution-oriented mindset.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to change quickly.
- Fluent in Italian and English on a professional working level – both written and spoken.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; D365 experience is a strong plus.
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of logistics processes or previous involvement in cross-functional supply chain teams.
- Familiarity with component-based production environments (mechanical or electromechanical).
